Elastography

Elastography is a noninvasive method, which studies the hardness or stiffness of microvasculature in tissues and detects or classifies potential tumors.

Elastography achieves precise mapping of areas of increased hardness in the breast, thyroid and liver , which may be related to cancer, as well as the quantitative calculation of their elasticity.

It is possible to distinguish a benign from a malignant lesion avoiding an unnecessary biopsy.

Chios MRI Diagnostic Imaging Center provides this modern method, mainly used in separating lesions in the breast, thyroid and liver.
