Computed Tomography

Chios MRI Diagnostic Imaging Center is equiped with the multi-slice SOMATOM go.Up scanner from SIEMENS, a new generation CT scanner utilitzing the latest technology.

The system's ability to take multiple sections simultaneously in one rotation of the radiographic tube and use special software to complete tests with minimal dose enables Chios MRI Diagnostic Imaging Center to undertake all modern and demanding CT examinations, such as:

Helical Computed Tomography of the whole body

Dynamic scans with infused contrast material

Computed Tomography with multilevel imaging

CT angiography with three-dimensional imaging

Full Pulmonary Examination with high resolution

Virtual three-dimensional bone imaging

Computed Tomography and multilevel examination of teeth (maxilla and mandible)

The multiple imaging technology (Μulti-slice CT), has great application to perform angiographic examinations with intravenous injection of contrast material, giving the ability to perform angiography in the chest or abdomen in a few seconds.

The rapid time of the tomography examination, in combination with the helical scan technology and concurrent multiple imaging (Multi-slice CT), provides a better study of the vascular system of the patient, since the monitoring of the contrast material is done with higher reliability and precise time tracking, resulting in the better separation of the representation of the different phases of the contrast material circulation in the vessels.

With this methods it is achieved a high degree of reliability in the examination of the organs (eg. differential diagnosis of hemangiomas), brain examination to identify various lesions, lung angiograms for the determination of pulmonary embolism.

An important parameter of the CT scanner is the diameter of the bore of the gantry, which is sufficiently large, so it is possible to undertake examination for obese patients, in general to all, a larger diameter is more "friendly" for claustrophobic patients and children.

Chios MRI Diagnostic Imaging Center performs the full range of CT examinations. It is emphasized that in the center special examinations can be schedulled:
